Resilience Agenda

From editorial production to strategic creative partner.

What started as a technical InDesign pagination job in 2019 has become a six-year partnership built on trust, deep understanding, and dedication to the brand's success.

6 Years of partnership and every year, more value.

About the Client

Resilience Agenda is a mental fitness brand built around a core product: a meticulously designed physical planner that helps people build resilience through structured daily practice. Founded by Hadleigh, a performance psychology specialist, the brand has grown from a single product into an expanding ecosystem, with presence in the UK and Australian markets, a digital sub-brand (Mental Fitness Daily), and international ambitions.

Partnership Timeline: 2019 – Present
My Role: Lead Designer & Strategic Creative Partner
Services: Product design, brand identity, print production, institutional communications, sales materials, digital design, brand consultancy

The Challenge

When Hadleigh first contacted me in 2019, the problem was seemingly simple: he needed a designer with advanced InDesign experience to handle the complex pagination of his 2020 Annual Planner.

The Technical Need

The product was far from simple:
  • Hundreds of pages with daily and weekly spreads
  • Rigorous grid systems to ensure visual consistency
  • Meticulous typography with clear hierarchies and flawless legibility
  • Demanding production specifications, the final product would be printed in thousands of units and could not afford errors

For this challenge, a “creative” designer wasn’t enough. It required someone with absolute technical mastery of print production and obsessive attention to detail.

The Unspoken Need

But there was something only time would reveal: Hadleigh wasn’t just launching a product. He was building a brand with long-term vision, and he needed a design partner who could grow with it, someone who understood not just the technical aspects, but also the mission and values of the business.

As with many entrepreneurs, the relationship started pragmatically: solve the immediate problem, see how it goes, build trust gradually.

What none of us knew in 2019 was that this would be the beginning of a six-year partnership, and that my role would evolve from technical executor to strategic brand guardian.

The Solution

The relationship grew organically, project by project, year after year. Today, I act as a natural extension of the team, understanding the brand's vision as deeply as its founder.

Phase 1: Core Product Engineering (2019–present)

From the first year, I took full responsibility for the annual planner’s production cycle, and continue to do so today, already working on drafts for the 2027 edition.

Strategic Grid Design

Each year, I design the page architectures for the UK and Australian editions. Every layout must balance functional usability with visual clarity, supporting the mental fitness methodology with space for reflection, habit tracking, and planning, while remaining intuitive and aesthetically coherent.

Production and Pagination

Using InDesign, I execute hundreds of pages with precision:
  • Automatic date calculations for each market
  • Layout consistency across spreads
  • Continuous typographic refinement
  • Preparation of print-ready files with all technical specifications

The final product must be flawless. When producing thousands of units annually, there is no room for error.

Art direction

I curate and process all illustrations in Adobe Illustrator. I create custom vectors, icons, and graphic elements that reinforce the brand’s visual identity.
The result is a publication that feels intentional, from the first page to the last.

Phase 2: Brand Extension — Mental Fitness Daily (2021–present)

When Hadleigh’s vision expanded beyond the physical product, I was challenged to create something new: a complete brand identity for a complementary digital product.

Building a brand from scratch

For Mental Fitness Daily, I developed:
  • Logo and visual identity system
  • Graphic language direction and creative exploration
  • Employer integration guides (MFD Employer Onboarding Guide)
  • Mental Fitness Reset — 28 days card
This project marked a turning point in our partnership. It proved I could translate Hadleigh’s vision into an entirely new brand, capable of standing independently while remaining connected to the parent brand.

It also showed that my contribution went far beyond technical execution: I was a strategic partner.

Phase 3: Institutional and Commercial Communications (2020–present)

As the business grew, my role expanded to cover all visual communication needs.

Institutional materials

I create and update brochures for the UK and Australian markets, ensuring brand consistency across all territories. Every piece is designed to communicate the Resilience Agenda mission with clarity and professionalism.

Sales and proposal materials

I developed reusable, visually impactful proposal templates designed to be easily editable by the client. When urgent requests arise for high-value client meetings, I respond quickly, managing deadlines with empathy and without compromising quality.

Technical and consultative support

I collaborate directly with Hadleigh to solve technical challenges, such as file optimisation for editing across different platforms (PC vs. Mac), ensuring the final product is not only beautiful but also functional and practical for day-to-day business needs.

The Results

A core product flawlessly launched for 6 consecutive years

Hadleigh has complete peace of mind. Every year, the planner reaches the market on time, with consistent visual quality and the technical precision clients expect.

This reliability is no small detail. It’s what allows him to focus on growing the business, instead of worrying whether the product that defines the brand will be ready.

Strategic consistency across all brand extensions

Today, I am the guardian of Resilience Agenda’s visual identity. Whether a new product line, a marketing campaign, or a digital project, everything reinforces the brand’s credibility.

Why? Because I’ve worked with them for six years. I don’t just know the design standards, I understand the business philosophy, the mental health mission that drives it, and where the brand is heading.

The compound value of a long-term partnership

This is the true advantage of a long-term relationship:
  • Briefings are shorter because I already know the context
  • Revisions are minimal because I know what works
  • Deadlines are faster because I don’t start from zero
  • Trust is total because it’s built on years of consistent delivery

Each year of working together accumulates value. What was good in year 1 becomes even better in year 6.

The Value of a Long-term Partnership

Six years later, the relationship is no longer client-provider. It's a true partnership. Hadleigh doesn't need to give me extensive briefings. He doesn't need to explain the brand again. He doesn't need to worry about quality. He knows it will be right because we've built a shared understanding over years of collaboration. This is the difference between a project and a partnership. Between a provider and a strategic asset.

Looking for a partnership like this?

Many brands start with a specific need, a product, a website, an identity. That's normal. But the real value comes from finding someone who can grow with you. Someone who learns your business deeply enough to become a strategic resource, not just another name on the supplier list.

If you're a founder or business leader looking for:

  • Consistent excellence over time, not just impressive one-off projects
  • A partner who understands your vision and expands it
  • Someone who becomes more valuable as the relationship deepens
  • A designer you can trust with your brand's evolution as you scale

Then let's talk.
